SAFARI ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE NAIROBI
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our Wild Fig ventures representative and transferred to the hotel. Dinner will be at the hotel. Overnight at the Radisson Arboretum Nairobi hotel on (Bed and Breakfast)
DAY 2: NAIROBI TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Depart Nairobi early in the morning, drive to one of the unique reserve in Kenya, The Samburu National Reserve is a rugged and semi-desert park situated within the Rift Valley county of Kenya. The game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals (the special five) unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Masaai Ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa oryx. Other Kenyan wildlife present in the park includes cheetahs and lions, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos. Bird life is as plentiful as wildlife at Samburu National Reserve, which boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. Upon arrival check in and enjoy a delicious lunch followed by an afternoon game drive to have a look at the magnificent scenery and game rarely seen in other parks and reserves in Kenya.

DAY 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Enjoy early morning to explore the reserve, looking for unique species like the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, and reticulated giraffe. Return to the camp for breakfast and spend the mid day with an option for a visit to the Samburu community and learn their culture, way of life and traditions. Lunch at the camp and later afternoon game drive, enjoy sunset viewing in the wild with a Stop at a scenic viewpoint for sunset photography. Dinner and overnight at the camp Ashnil Samburu camp (Full board)
DAY 4: SAMBURU - ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
Depart after breakfast and drive to Aberdare National park, known for its lush landscapes, unique wildlife, and stunning views in Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch at the Aberdare country club which is the base hotel for the Ark Hotel. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure with optional extra activities at the club at extra cost and later you will be transferred to the Ark Hotel where you will spend your evening watching wildlife from the lodge's viewing platforms. Dinner and overnight at the Ark Hotel – (Full Board).
DAY 5: ABERDARE PARK - LAKE NAIVASHA .
After breakfast, depart and drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake, the highest of the string of lakes that glitter down the vast trench of the Great Rift Valley. Towered over by the brooding bulk of Mount Longonot (2,776 m), and featuring a submerged volcanic island known as Crescent Island, this beautiful lake is best known for its high numbers of water birds. In the afternoon check in the resort, lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, taking an optional boat-ride at the lake, or exploring the lake shore at extra cost. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Naivasha Country Club – (Full Board)
DAY 6: LAKE NAIVASHA TO THE MASAI MARA RESERVE Depart Naivasha after breakfast and drive to Kenya's famous game reserve. You start the day venturing through the Great Rift Valley travelling to the northern most extension of the Serengeti Plains and one of the richest wildlife Game Reserves, the Masai Mara. The Mara is home to the awesome black-manned lion, the elusive leopard, stately giraffes, vast herds of elephants, rhino, thundering herds of zebra, migrating wildebeest and numerous other plains game. You arrive at the camp for lunch. After lunch depart for an afternoon game-viewing drive. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge – (Full Board).
DAY 7: ON SAFARI IN THE MASAI MARA
A full day’s safari in one of the world’s most famous reserves. Offering an abundance of herbivores, the Mara makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya’s famous ‘big cats’ and hosts her largest population of lions. Historically teeming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that wander its plains, and for the annual migration of the wildebeest (seasonal). Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge – (Full Board).
DAY 08: DEPART MAASAI MARA to NAIROBI
After breakfast at the camp, bid farewell to the Masai Mara as you set on your journey back to Nairobi. Drive back down the Great Rift Valley to Nairobi, Keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle and head up the escarpment. You will arrive in Kenya’s bustling capital city Nairobi in the early afternoon where you will drive to the one of the local restaurants for lunch payable directly. Later be transfer be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for departure flight back home. Or have an option to overnight at Hilton Garden inn Nairobi Airport on Bed and Breakfast basis.
